Got to love or hate the electrics. After a month or so of trying to get the fan switch to work, and then going ahead and reserving one, guess what? They start working again. Bloody typical!!
Just so the bike doesn't think that I will have some money left at the end of the month, I now need to change the rear wheel bearings as there is a slight rumble coming from the right side bearing.
Thes bikes are just like women

Wedge the spare fan switch in the back wheel to take up the slack in the bearings.

If only that were possible. Resigned to the fact that I will have to use the car next week to go to work till the bearings turn up. Going the whole hog and doing front, rear and headstock.

Good plan. Most of it's easy enough but getting the wheel bearings out can be a bit of a b@gg@r.
I resorted to a dremmel and once you've got one side out, it's not difficult to drift the other side out.

I've resorted to the drop it off method. Bike is due an MOT soon, so I am getting that done at the same time. At least by changing all the bearings at the same time, I won't have to worry about if the front will drop out.

Do you not need the fan switch then?

Still going to need it as a back up just in case. Just waiting for my funds to transfer into paypal.
