Crash Damage

After a very stupid mistake, I managed to have a small accident on the Falco. Being as she was riding behind me and it was the first day of the holiday, the wife was none too impressed :smt009

Anyway, this now leaves me needing the following parts to get the bike back on the road again:

Headlight fairing

Front subframe/clock bracket ( :smt009 not holding my breath)

Mirror(s)

Screen

If anyone has any of these spare that they would consider selling, I would be interested.

I can do you a set of mirrors - it's not a lot of what you need but it's a start.

Sorry to hear of your "little off"

Can't help at all, but equally sorry.
Sounds more like a bloody somersault!

Any crash where you only hurt your pride is a good one :smt003

Bodge the subframe.
Buy a new screen.
ebay for the fairing :smt017

I'm no help really :smt009

Keine Merwertsteuer. Not heard those words for a couple of years.

May well be able to do a deal on those mirrors DR but priorities and funds dictate that the major parts come first if that's ok.

Just realised what you meant Sam, that's the front subframe, ie the bit that holds the fairing together that I need, not the big bit at the back.

The bracket will be bodged if at all possible, but again I'm not holding my breath.

One positive of it is that it gives me a kick up the backside to get on and get a decent paint job that I have been thinking about for a while. Not sure exactly how it will work but it may work around white and Kwakerz beloved matt black, although probably not in the style he is undoubtedly thinking of.

Quite understand that the other stuff must have the first call on funds

Have a search for the fairing bracket, IIRC there was a bit of a flurry recently and I think a couple appeared.

I've got a spare screen, but postage might be an issue.

How damaged is your front plastic? they can be fixed up pretty well.

starter for 10

Crikey - who are they kidding for an old black one that you can't even start, has some crash damage and various engine bits missing.
I'd also want to know what they mean by:

as they are a dealer I guess they would have to charge VAT - so this may be their ex VAT price.

Long way to go too.

That said, I'm not saying not to think about it but I'd be asking a lot of questions and as flatlander said an offer (somewhat lower than that asking price)

No VAT on second hand bikes that is usually for commercial sales. I was a bit tounge in cheek a bit serious as you may find it a pain but you could strip it to recover something also Blinkey recently found one breaking in londinium that may have the parts you need. Check his posts or pm him. Also our kiwi cousin was in two minds whether to kill his blue one IIRC

Have got a 'cut down' dark tint skidmarx screen, also got a stock screen? Was holding onto the stock one but god knows why? Think i've got one mirror somewhere...but DR sounds like he's sorted for the pair
