Just bought a 2003 Falco, completely smitten after the test ride. I am a Brit in Aus and bikes are very expensive here but the Falco, although rare is great value for money. I am looking for a touring screen for the bike as the current screen is a little 'sandblasted' and as a big bloke I am looking for a little more wind protection. Anyone out there know an accessories dealer who will ship to Oz? It looks like Puig make the best screen but their availability here is very limited.

Skidmarx do a double bubble for the Falco but not sure whether they ship down your way.

Glad you are enjoying the Falco - what colour is it and what has been changed on it so far.

I swapped an original screen for a clear Skidmarx DB screen. It looks very OE but it's not much higher than standard. Not what I would call a touring screen. I'm happy with it now I'm not commuting a long way any more. I wouldn't mind posting something along for you from the UK.

G,DAY pom , i bought a double bubble screen from a company called pyramid plastics 01427677990 and i am more than happy with the wind protection i get. though the shape of the screen pushes the air into the visor of your helmet, and at times can be a bit noisy. But i am talking triple figure speeds in MPH of course for this to happen. I paid about £65 for the item and i know they import so they maybe export also hope this helps

Thanks for all the advice. Absolutely love the bike. It's performance is way more than I expected and it has a uniqueness and rarity here in Queensland that also add to the special feeling. Having bought the bike from a reputable dealer (including a 12 month warranty) I went online to check reviews and the bike is pretty much universally loved. I went looking for a 98-02 fireblade and came home with this and couldn't be happier! I used to have a 2001 Daytona 955 and this bike just feels better in all ways. Sorry Triumph.

I spend much of the year overseas with work and I wanted something reliable and a little different to have as a project bike at home for the 3 months a year that I am here. It is showing some signs of wear (2003 with 48,000km) but in overall good condition. I want to spend the next couple of years bringing it back up to it's glorious best.

The screen is fine but showing it's age so I thought I would start with something simple. Any other advice on items that I should be looking to replace at this point in it's life would be gratefully received.

Puig seem to do a touring screen but don't seem to do direct sales so finding a dealer who has a screen and will post it is already proving frustrating.

You've bought a brilliant bike, I've had mine 7 years and it now has 31k plus miles on the clock, with no issues at all, it's been incredibly reliable.
I use a Skidmarx double bubble, like many others on here, and find it an improvement.
Try them and see if they will send to Oz -

Puig screens are also very well made, but expensive, I have one on the ZX9R which was shipped from Puig in Germany to the UK.

Just in case you haven't had a result, I recently ordered a skidmarx dark grey tint double bubble screen through Gaz Bikes, (gazbikes.co.uk). The screen was cheaper through him than from the skidmarx site. took roughly three weeks to get it from order date 17/8/2011. Delivery was to Perth WA.
screen weight 49.95 pounds, shipping was heavier 67.50 pounds. -- pay pal, too easy

Hi, yep I was reading the thread and the invoice was on the desk beside me so I thought I would let pom know. Only just stumbled across the site yesterday, had the Falco (02 Flashy Yellow ) about 14 months now, first big twin and loving it. Only mods are derestricted and Arrow carbon pipes. Falco's are quite rare in Perth, I heard of one on another forum but have never seen one.
I will be trolling the site for things to do the the bike, it still has the standard shock as far as I can tell. I plan to keep it so want to make it as good as I can.
