After a little problem with the documents the DVLA have came through and sorted things out.
Thanks to all who replied to my earlier post, helped to twist my arm and go for the bike, lovely Hot Red/Diablo Black Falco.
Thanks to Aladinsanek also for coming up with a seat cowl for me, amazing!
Bike should be ready for me on Friday, serviced and fitted with new Pilot Road 2s.
Sidestand ordered from bubseywoo on ebay, and Optimate on it's way too.
That should be me sorted for a while! ':smt003'

bubseywoo sidestand......
ok.... first off, do you have a delivery date?
second, when it arrives, check it over for quality and finish
when fitting it, make sure it fits properly - the original stands from him were fine, but there have been some recent issues....
(keep us posted on that one - if the delivery time is as I expect, i would scour evilbay and acquire a firestorm leg as an interim measure....)
and i hope to be posting the cowl tomorrow btw!

I've just put an 04 Fireblade stand, and it fits nearly perfect, apart from hitting the header. Nothing a blob of weld or emtal can't solve.

Thanks for that ':smt001'
Delivery is August / September, I figured if the bike has survived 7 years on the original stand then if I'm careful it should make it till the replacement arrives.
I had a bit of a read through the forums and didn't see any bad reports, from what I read it seems to be the best fit what have you heard?

It's a mixed bag of news over the years as previously said, I'm one of the ones who hasn't had a problem with it, there are a few of us

, as Alad says check it over and you should be fine, just watch the plastic sidestand pin/sensor thing when removing the old one

If, as he says, it's one of the yank Red/Black ones, I believe it will have the later metal peg in the sidestand switch.

Spent the afternoon giving reading the users manual and having a thorough look over the bike. Had it on the paddock stand and thought i'd give the sprocket nuts a quick check as I'd saw the topic on this the other day.
2 nuts loose (no jokes) on a bike with only 3600miles !!
Took out the wheel tightenend them up, will be keping an eye on this from now on.
