I have mentioned on a couple of occasions that I have fitted the GenII swingarm to the falco and the little project is coming along nicely now. Here a re a couple of photos that I have taken today just to let you all in on what has been occuring.
I am in need of a little help though. I need to find a front seat from an 03 mille or 02-05 Tuono??

I've always liked the look of the Mille rear end -
Is that the double seat set up? What year bike is it from?
Whats actually involved regarding modding the sub frame to fit.

Getting the subframe to fit is the easy bit. It just needs bending a little and a bracket making to bolt the bottom mount on with. Its all the grief that follows that is the hard bit.
Tank mount needs modifying, seat needs modifying, coils need relocating and longer HT leads need making, needs a smaller more powerful battery and probably more that I have forgotten.
This is not an afternoon in the shed job!!
Any subframe from the gen I will work and which plastics you use is down to personal preference. I have gone with the gen I tuono.

Stray, random thought. If the Mille subframe will fit, then the Futura subframe should also fit. Then you could fit the fantastically comfortable Futura seat, and have the pannier brackets too.
But you wouldn't be able to have the high-mount cans

Not that i'm inciting a war between the superior Mille riders and the Falco lot, but wouldn't it have just been easier to buy a Mille in the first place? As far as i can tell Falco ownership goes as follows
1.) Buy Falco
2.) Replace exhaust system with the Mille one
3.) Replace suspension with Mille Suspension
4.) Replace swingarm with Mille one
5.) Fir belly pan...off a Mille
6.) Talk about how much better the Falco is than all other bikes
7.) Deny you've just turned it into a Mille
(Oddkid relocates to a secure protective bunker)
It does look wicked though! Can't wait to see it painted.

hmmmm
well a couple of valid points but
the falco riding position is better than the mille one
the mille suspension units are better - and as the donor bikes are so reguarly crashed, we Vultura Riders get what we can - and for the record, Hanna's oasis green actually has a WP unit.... and I know of another falco that uses an ohlins copy off a rice burner....
exhaust wise - the change allows more choices... and as others are now finding out, with a correct mod we can even keep the falco headers and oil tank etc....
belly pan - I looked into the mille belly pan - actually had one.... but i prefer the skidmarx one - its all about choice i guess :)
and one final thing - we mod because we can - not because we want a mille - a lot of the work done on falco's tends to be very individual - but there are some common themes!

Plus the Falco's frame and fairing/headlight is much much better looking than the fugly Mille
