Falco specific Ohlins remote pre load shock question

How much adjustment should there be for the pre-load on one of the shocks? Anyone got one? Says nothing in the manual.
No you haven't !Willopotomas wrote:have got one and am not entirely sure. So pretty useless really.
Looks familiar...D-Rider wrote: The Falco specific Ohlins has a vertically aligned reservoir and no ride-height adjustment. You don't tend to see many of them.
It's one of these:
Not aware that the Falco-specific ohlins came with one - though I think that it would probably be possible to fit one.Nooj wrote:Does yours have remote pre-load on it??
Nope, it's the same as D's pic above.Nooj wrote:Does yours have remote pre-load on it??
You can fit remote preload to almost any Ohlins shock, it was (is) a separate option on most Ohlins shocks for years. Aprilia have (did) their own hydraulic preload adjuster as an option for the std blue spring Sachs shock (god knows why thoughD-Rider wrote:Not aware that the Falco-specific ohlins came with one - though I think that it would probably be possible to fit one.Nooj wrote:Does yours have remote pre-load on it??
If you still have the same Ohlins that I fitted then you do have remote hydraulic preload adjustment. (it did have this fitted when I sold the bike to Gio anyway) I believe max preload available via the hydraulic adjuster was about 10-12mm if I remember correctlyWillopotomas wrote:Ah ok.. So I don't have one then.. It's just a bog standard Ohlins with remote thingy which I still have no idea what the total adjustment is..lol..
Not bog-standard Will - the bog standard Mille Ohlins is the one I've got - you have the aftermarket Ohlins one for the Mille - hence the remote pre-load adjuster. Some say this is actually a better Ohlins shock but I've not investigated whether this is true.Willopotomas wrote:Ah ok.. So I don't have one then..
