ok - mallory for the 1000 bike festival

coggers is heading over from eire on the thursday and is planning on staying over night somewhere in the midlands (His PM to me said he was going to get as many miles under his belt as possible after leaving holyhead then staying at a B&B along the way...)

I am heading over from Norfolk, along with craig, aiming to be with in 20 miles of mallory for between 1500 and 1600

so - can any of you local folk suggest a good meeting point that would be easy to find?

(I am aware that we are coming from the east, and coggers is coming from the west but.... I believe that the best entrance for us to the circuit is via kirkby mallory village)

And yes I know how close we are to the hinkley inbreds....

I am also hoping that any of the others heading along for the week end camping may want to also meet up there... I did leave an insultingphone message for young Hisnibbs to this effect ...

As yet, we do not have our session times btw....

There's a town in the midlands I used to drive through on my trips between London and Edinburgh, now what's it's name?

Oh yeah, Birmingham, see you there! :smt016

Ok, think Lutterworth is a good starting point plenty of cafes/shops/petrol station etc. Also good country lanes run up to A47 avoiding Leicester and Hinckley to Mallory

This place was easy to access via M1/A5, on outskirts...can't miss it, just look out for the silver aeroplane in the middle of the roundabout!

Hinckley locations close to A5/M69

Marina not far from Triumph factory and nice location next to canal, plenty of carpark space and outdoor eating area...both with Petrol stations close by

Nuneaton A5

Hope this helps?

Or there's always crash space a O'Potomas towers in Coventry. You can stay in the workshop.. You'll like it in there.. Warm n' cosy and stinks of garage! :smt003

Looks a good choice

Aiming to be there for 1500 and leaving there at about 1630 to head to the circuit

I will start a new thread when I have times etc

Cheers for the input folks

Been a couple of times, it's tucked away from the road side so turn into the 'Total' Petrol Station and it's down the left hand side behind the Premier Inn, be about 5 mins from A5/M69 Jun
