Cheap cans for sale

#1 Post by szrdave » Sun Jun 19, 2011 2:47 pm

I've just replaced my cans with with some SS ones, so these are up for sale:

Image

Made by Redline Performance, there is some damage on the inside of one can where it has rubbed on something, a bit of the yellow 'Redline Performance' has come off one and there is some rubbing from the straps (although obviously this is mainly hidden by the straps when mounted).

The cans are aluminium, a lot lighter than standard and quite loud :smt020

Included are two cans and mounting straps but no link pipes or end clamps.

£65 posted, if anyone is interested and wants pics let me know!

I don't have a set of standard cans to compare them to, do the stock pipes have a separate can and link pipe?

The "standard" link pipes were an extension of the standard cans !!
Not too many suppliers, who sell cans seem to want to sell the link pipes on their own for some reason.
Should be possible to get some made up I suppose.

OOOOOHHHH!

Would you check the postage to Townsville Queensland Australia 4810, for me please Dave.

Getting spares out here is bloody dire, and these would fit the damaged one I'm repairing.

Cheers

Aye Fury, they would be perfect for me (black falco with red bits) but for the lack of link pipes :(

...at that price there must be an 'Exhaust' maker in your area (under some railway arch) that can knockout some link pipes?

Not clear in post but maybe these cans have short link pipe attached or is he keeping the link pipes for the new cans...How do the ones he's selling fit onto the Falco- I would dig a bit deeper and they might be right for you, the pics aren't really clear enough to tell

Thanks for the interest! Falcopops has first refusal on these if he thinks it's worth posting to Oz, pending me sending him a couple more pics.

If not I'll let y'all know, but to answer the other questions:

The pipes are not 'e' marked road legal or marked 'not for road use'. they've been through an MOT, but my local tester is a little hard of hearing :smt020

I've kept the link pipes for the new cans. These are a standard Ø50mm(ish) slip-on fitting (clamp not springs).

Sorry guys, Falcopops has taken these.

Keep an eye out on ebay* as twin cans do come cheapish every now and again, you owe yourself the noise!

*tip - search for "exhausts" in quotation marks and you'll only bring up exact matches, makes finding pipes (plural) easier
