Thanks for all your help the information i recieve is brill i might have to sell my fazer to finance everything i want to do to my falco, i think i was warned though lol i have one niggling problem which to some might seem trivial. My number plate bracket is plastic and i think a bit flimsy. I let my mate ride my bike whilst i rode his and whilst i followed i notice it shake just with the not so un even road surface he rode on. Can a steel or stainless bracket be bought or has any one tried to make one , thanks again Blink

There are loads of different brackets out there, think I only paid about 20 quid for mine. Do a search, a couple of the guys have actually made their own ones, and the templates are there to use.

There are some that like having number plates that vibrate as they think it may stop some cameras from being effective.... Before I start spending money I would check to make sure it has been done up correctly.....

This does of course mean you have more cash for other important mods....

most definitely

i used to spray chain lube and then throw dirt on it, that helped

and then hanging a chain over the back so it obscured the letters

then i went for the totally wrong plate tactic and that actually worked really well as well

even got pulled with it - £30 fine and no points :)

i used to work at the steel works ay scunthorpe (sh** hole), we had to wear blue over shoes when we entered buildings. My mate was always late for work when we used to work in a fabrication shop in gainsborough on occasional week ends and he lives at doncaster. Coming out of bawtry to gainsborough is time and distance cameras, and he told me NOT sure if he was joking but he said he put blue over shoes over his number plate

It was a sad day when the made flip up plates illegal!

Being ancient, I can still remember a trick from the sixties.
In those days of super reliable Brit bikes, there were never much more than half our group with their bikes on the road at any one time, so you nearly always carried a pillion. Whenever one of our lot saw a Moggy 1000 Panda car or a Velocette LE police bike, it was a case of the pillion pasenger wrapping his feet around the rear number plate and off you went as fast as you could, they never chased.

You'd be hard pushed to chase a pedestrian on an LE! They were whisper quiet though.
