Hi all,

OK, having had the odd problem with my battery, I delved into the options of decreasing the risk of it happening again. I have sourced some info, and found that a Mosfet FH008EE Regulator from either an R1 (2008>) or Kawasaki ZX6 (2008>). This coupled with a replacement of the necessary wiring using the waterproof Delphi 280 connectors would increase the juice around the bike and battery greatly. EasternBeaver does the full wiring conversion from Japan. Going to email him manana....

Anyone else done this "Mod?" It runs cooler, and more efficiently by all accounts :smt002

Haven't had any problems myself but I'd be keen to see how you get on and any info recieved as to cost, installation etc..

I'm an electrical numpty but if it looks easy enough to do I have a friend who could assist

Sounds good, but all the posts I've seen about it are followed by more posts of people having problems afterwards. Could be they haven't done a good job fitting it though, interested to see how you get on with it!

Hi all,

As with all things Nooj, correct fitting is paramount, especially with electrics. I have bought my leads from eastern beaver :smt002 Now just need to source my FH008EE from somewhere. Been surfing the net and fleebay, no joy so far :smt012

Old Git from Worcester mentioned on the AF1 site that he knows a "local" guy who strips R1's and the like for race use... PM'd him, no reply so far. Anyone else know a racing bunch who have spare parts bin over-flowing :smt007

Let you know how I get on....

It may well be a part common to all yams of that age, so don't limit yourself to R1 searches.
