Set off for a quick run today, looked down and the dash had stopped working as had the lights etc...

Rode back home and checked the fuses, and sure enough the 15amp one had popped

Long story short..............7 fuses later it appears that every time I apply the brakes the fuse pops. I have the LED brake & rear light bulbs fitted so I swapped them back to the std bulbs, tried again and pop the brake light blows

Of course being electrically inept doesn't help, I've checked every thing I can and it all looks OK, I did have the battery off earlier in the day to remove the crap flap when I fitted the hugger I got from Nooj but other than that I've not messed with anything electrical.

Anyone have any ideas to assist me please?

Check battery terminals are tight

Any peripherals that are connected to battery have both leads attached

Check relays


After that - I give up

Front and/or back brake?

Well theres a reasonable excuse for being electrically inept but being mechanically inept (when I'm a time served engineer fer christs sake) is another issue

I blame being to keen to get out for a spin but the cause of my fuse issues turns out to be as simple as trapping the rear brake switch wire behind the footrest assembly when I put it back on the frame.

The wire was as flat as a pancake, however once removed from its metal vice all is back to normal

The cable however does now look very second hand. Does anyone have a spare rear brake light switch and cable they would like to sell me???
