Two Brothers Stubby M2 Exhaust..

#1 Post by GregD-UK » Tue May 03, 2011 10:19 am

Hi all,

After the latest discussion on converting the dual setup on the exhausts. I was wondering if after fitting the mille system complete with the two siamese pipe extension conversion, the look could be further enhanced by adding a stubby can. I know it will defo effect the fuelling and reduce the back-pressure a great deal :smt017

The packing would have to be redone every 10 hours according to Two Brothers :smt020 But, after the mod to the exhaust, would that improve things at all?

Really like the low slung look that it would create :smt003 And, as DR would say, "It cleans the back end up!"

Anyone think it can be do-able, cheers.

as with any modding with a falco - of course it si doable!

I would strongly suspect that you are going to need both a very good chip - with all the adjustments possible available, and a PC3 to get the fuelling right

I did run a cored shortened tuono can for a while - it did run rich....

Hi all,

Thanks Alad, I have a Gabro Chip in at the mo, and have a PCIII as well :smt002 Guess, need to find a dyno up here and a bloke that knows what he is doing (Tough I know anywhere!). Griff balanced my TB's a couple of months ago, will they need re-doing again once the new can is on?

Have even thought of getting two and making a shot-gun setup with the mille single pipe system......

Yes, you will need a re-tune with new cans. Changing the 'gases-out' end of things will have a knock on effect and alter the fueling balance, so the 'gases-in' end will need to be re-tweaked.

*useful PCIII advice*
There's no point having a custom map done until you're settled on a set-up and have had the TB's and Co pots etc sorted out, otherwise the map will be for an out-of-tune engine and will then be incorrect when your engine is put back in tune.

Now what you need is to find someone that might just have a lovely set of very rare MHP carbon shotguns for sale ....

Yeah - I did a trial fit of them before I decided they didn't quite give my Falco the look I was after .... I'll dig them out and post them up.

Here you go ..... I wasn't happy with the finish when I got them or the Termignoni stickers that were on them ..... someone had done a bad job of over-spraying them with a rattle-can of lacquer - so I prepped them and got them professionally re-lacquered.

If you carry a pillion, you will need to do something to mount the right pillion peg .... though it is do-able .... I had a plan.

D-R with those shotgun cans do they hang off the footrest hangers or do you have to make your own hanger for them ? Don't see why you don't like them i thought they looked good on your bike but what do i know i thought my belly pan looked good ... :smt003

What you need for them is a nice pair of slightly used Renegade cans with light scuffs taken from a new single sided converted bronze and black Falco ...........MAYBE :smt009

Black and Bronze , c'mon you know they're the fastest :-)

No, they won't hang from the pillion peg hanger - in fact the pillion peg hanger needs to be relocated a bit so it doesn't interfere or to be removed (if you don't take pillions).
I'd worked out how to relocate it and was then going to make a little bracket from the relocated peg - but one could be fabricated from the subframe.

You are right, the MHP shotguns DO look very nice but are just not quite what I want.

..... and no, I don't want any more exhausts - and certainly NOT a pair as I far prefer the single sided look ..... I've also got a set of Shark hi-mount shotguns which suit my bike better .... but they currently have stainless sleeves (and weigh a ton) and foul the peg even more .....

I might re-sleeve them in carbon and I have worked out how to modify them to avoid the peg. They are certainly more in keeping with what I am after ..... but I might sell them too and just stick with the Fuel can that I've had for some time .... unfussy and I quite like it.

All those cans and only the one Falco now that's what i call a spare parts department .......mind you i seem to be obtaining an every growing spare parts bin myself .

Was thinking if i can complete the single side conversion with out breaking anything then i may just sell the cans and pipes as a oner and see what i can get for them .....but that's a long way off at the moment , well at least three weeks !!
