Just managed to pick myself up a NWS Ulti-pro bike stand on ebay for under £30
Anyone not knowing these, they're like an abba stand on steroids (and without the money making scam of having to change the pins for each model)
Got no discussions points about it, just wanted to brag

Interesting, how do the universal pins work?

They just use a tapered pin instead of whatever it is that's bike specific, the pins fit inside the swingarm pivot bolt.
The ABBA stands look a bit puny for me (especially for the £80 or whatever they cost), these look good and strong.
I'd never seen one until my mate bought one for his daytona 955.
I'll pop up some pics of it holding the bike up once it arrives.

One of the guys has that stand at work, and he has a booking sheet filled for the next couple of weeks as he lends it out. Nice and simple to use, and stores away quite compact too:)

I love them, I used my mates on my old FZR a couple of times, solid as a rock, don't think I've had the Falco up on it (although my memory isn't great).
I've had it on auto search on fleecebay for about 3 months been waiting for one to come up, this is the first one that came up and luckily I got it for a steal.

I have one of these (as I have posted on many occasions)
Essentially like the abba but the ulti-pro is better constructed.
It doesnt have the attachments that the Abba has (as an option) to let you remove the swingarm.

For those with an abba stand (Or the ulti-pro for that matter) I can, and have made tapered inserts. I'm in the throws of making some for Paul, so if anyone else wants some making, I'll knock a few out all at once.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

and paul is grateful - i was working on hanna's and craig's falcos and craig rode off with one of the spindles still in the swing arm - I forgot to check!
oh - for the record, Craig was very impressed with the move from a standard blue spring sucks shock to a white spring mille unit.....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

The ulti-pro ones are tapered
as standard .... guess those devotees of the swedish-pop-combo-stand will need some to catch up ...........

Mine was free.. So can't grumble.. The inserts were also free, so again, no complaints from me.

Have owned an NWS Ultipro for years, sadly NWS are no longer around.
It was expensive to buy, (Just over a ton as I remember), but a superbly stable and easy to use stand, that was worth the outlay.
Was hoping to try and get some different pins so I could also use it with the 9R, but not now possible. Found out the standard ones will work with the Kwack anyway even though the hole in the offside pivot is like a big Alen key and is bigger than the Falco. This just makes the stardard tapered pin go in a bit further and the stand is then closer at that side of the bike.
Otherwise works perfectly on both bikes, couldn't do without it now!
Great buy at £30 by they way!!!

As far as I know NWS are still trading, the link is at the top of this thread (although I haven't tried calling them)
That's the beauty of the Ulti-pro, that the tapered pins just push in further for bigger holes and less for smaller ones, so it will fit pretty much anything with a hole in the end of the swingarm bolt.
They seem to go for a lot less than the 'dancing queen' ones too on e-bay, my mate who first brought them to my attention got his for £20

I tried calling NWS a couple of years ago to try and buy one of these, and was told I was actually talking to Pyramid Plastics as they have taken over the bodywork side of things when NWS stopped trading.
Ended up buying an ABBA instead in the end.
