Track day for cowards?

Ok, not a coward as such but, as I've never done one before, I'm a bit nervous about the whole track thing.
Anyway, there's a 'novice-only' day at Brands on 4th April so have booked meself on to it!
Run through Motorsportvision.co.uk and works out at £149 for the whole day. Will let you know how it went when (if?) I get back...

You'll be fine, I have done 2 on the Falco now, and aslong as you are in the novice group you'll have no problems.
Just ride to your limits, and forget about everyone else around you, they will look after themselves and you look after yourself, tape your lights / indies up, remove your numerplate (if its like a sail like mine), remove your rear view mirrors, and NEVER look at the speedo.
Warm tyres for at least 3 laps, and you'll have a blast, only problem is, it's VERY addictive :)

Mmmm, I'd be interested in that, if I've got the bike sorted by then

You'll be fine Kenif - relax, enjoy, your pace will pick up and you will not be the slowest. Sounds like a great introduction to the trackday experience. Good luck.

Oh great. No pressure then...
Nah, don't care about the speed, just going for the experience, bit of fun and to see if anyone notices that my leathers are green and have Kawasaki written all over them...

I've been there and done it, plus of course it was at Silverstone, I just had a nice punt round the track and stuff being lapped, its whether you enjoy it or not that counts

.
I know if I manage to be back on a bike again for it, I'll be somewhere at the back, as it takes quite a while to get used to a strange bike
Oh and get some leather the same colour as the Kawasaki words and put 'San' under it

I've never done a track day myself either, but this seems like bloody good advice, especially the tyre warming bit, you'd kick yourself if you binned it on cold rubber

Tsk, you'd have been at the front as everyone would want to have a look

I truely believe everyone should do at least one trackday in their life, if not just for the fun of it, for the absoloutly huge confidence boost it gives you in you and your bikes capabilites.

Yeah, but this
is the South East. Why miss a perfectly reasonable opportunity to lift someone's wallet when you already have them over the barrel?
