loss of lung power

upon fairly hard acceleration, Ruby sometimes finds it difficult to breath and is raspy - normally hard acceleration to 7-8k
almost like there is some slippage before catching up with itself......if that makes sense.

is it a simple case of a new airbox required - that said this is a fairly recent issue

any ideas?

start with the simple things - like look at the airfilter - and see when the bike last had a new one

then check the plugs etc - just in case

if all ok, then how much would sir like to spend?

Hmm sounds like my Mrs - they've just told her she has the lungs of an 81yr old.
Not good news for her .... even worse for the 81yr old ....

Maybe if you didn't call it "Ruby" it would stop these hissy-fits and run properly.

yeh good point, my last bike was The Bull, so Im afraid they all end up with a name at some stage. Perhaps the name befits character tho so you could be right. She was actually running quite well this morning so will do some more analysis .....

If the Falco gets called "Ruby", and the last bike was called "The Bull",
What the hell was it? :smt017
Couldn't have been a GS called the Bull :smt009
So was it a .............
VMax?
Turbo GSXR1100 Streetfighter?
Turbo Busa?
Honda Deauville?
Honda CG125??

:smt017

Or then again, I seem to remember an old uncle had an Austin Seven Ruby.

yeh twas the GS but it was a Black GSA and after a tour round Spain it sported a few Bull stickers on the metal panniers. He also bucked and swayed like a bull when I aqua plained on the return journey - too much speed and not enough dry tarmac...
