Bike is currently living under a cover 'til I get a new shed.
Occasionally starts first prod, now less so.
Got a meta 357T V2 on it.
Dash appears to do normal stuff.
Alarm makes normal noises.
Fuel pump primes.
Had the tank up and arse off. Pulled apart and WD40d all the connectors I could find.
Checked fuses by battery and in fairing.
Took apart and dowsed kill switch and go button.
Opened petrol tank and swished - yes I'm getting desperate.
Tried with stand up and down and clutch in or out.

Changed the battery, charged both more than once.

It turns over but not in a particularly healthy way, never shows more than 11.7 volts on dash, drops very quickly.

Where are the earths?

Sounds awfully like a battery issue to me. 11.7v is way low even allowing of the 0.5v dash inaccuracy and dropping fast isn't a good sign

I'm no expert on these having only just bought mine, but I'd want to know I definitely had a healthy battery before looking elsewhere.

Have you checked both batteries with a multimeter after charging and allowing to settle?

Is either battery new, or have both been used before?

Thanks guys, think I've found it.

Dodgy repair to one of the wires going into the fuse holder next to the battery. I'll be buggered to see why anyone would be messing about down there though. Patched it up and it started first prod and ticking over it reads 13.6 or so on the dash.

Been for a run for a while and it's pulling cleanly all the way through. I'll keep an eye on it.

Bikes with electric meters are a new thing to me.
And hydraulic clutches and adjustable forks, what will they think of next.

Seriously though, I was impressed with how little nasty green crap I found. For a five year old bike with 19k on the clock everything seemed very solid.
My kwak needed a new loom before it was a month old.
