Quick release seat pins

#1 Post by dyzio » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:23 am

Hi,
Would anyone know where can I get these in the UK? http://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/ ... oduct=1481

After seeing these in action, they would be great for lifting the seat without the allen key - handy for fitting the tank bag base when touring :)
Tried looking at Ultimateparts but no luck :/

I've got a similar arrangement on my race bikes - just cut down a bolt and drill it to take the R clip, then a couple of washers.

If anyone has the dimensions of them I can knock them up on my lathe and pillar drill for about £10 a set delivered (UK), PM me if you have sizes or want some
Pass me a hammer, a spanner and a cuppa

I'd be interested in a set of those Wayno. The jaws on my lathe wont accept anything that small, which is where your's comes in to it's own. :smt001

I could mill you a drilling jig to get the hole in the bar if needed. :smt001

Would also like a tank and seat set....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I've got an original set on order so I'll use them as a pattern, give me a week to get them delivered and then get the sizes and I'll knock up a dozen sets. They're £13.75 delivered from 123bp so I'll see how cheap I can make them for, it'll definitely be £10 a set delivered maximum, should be less though.

Willopotomas - don't worry about the jig, I think I have a vee block somewhere, if I have problems with the drill wandering I'll give you a shout, but I'm confident I should be ok if I take it steady.
