Starting glitch

... After almost 3 months with my super-battery and touble free cold starting, got up this morning and turned her over and got a slightly sick sounding fazap. It was like the battery discharged in one gulp: barely a dash light. Started with a boost first pop, so rode out for 15 miles. Went to work, then went to start 9 hrs later and same fazap. Got a boost from rac (batt at full charge and charging while running) and no worries (was thinking fuse or solenoid) - orange truck dude suggested no 'system' failure, and that the batt was faulty. Went for similar 10 mile jaunt, got home and gingerly tried various starting scenarios - key-off then alarm on etc - and started fine. Thoughts?

Same as Paul says, (? Tomorrow I may just be calling him Pete!), tighten the battery terminals, I have had the same problem.
Battery had been fine, stopped to clean my visor and no chance of starting, it just felt like the battery had suddenly failed.
Checked the leads, they didn't feel iffy, but tightened them up and instantly OK again,
