anyone with mille swinger and exhaust??

#1 Post by roosterNI » Wed Feb 09, 2011 7:56 pm

what exhaust hanger did you use? the falco one seems to sit too low beside the exhaust, deffo couldn't flick the passenger footrest out, as the can is in the way. i'm hoping a mille exhaust hanger will do but want conformation before i purchase one, do mille hanger have passenger footpegs?

I have a Mille swingarm and exhaust but as I have a Hi-mount can, I have a bracket that fits to the bottom of the rear subframe rails ..... not much use to you - sorry.

When I converted my previous Falco to a Mille arm & exhaust I had to have a mate make up a hanger for exactly the reasons you mention.

The Mille / RSV one won't fit either :smt013

Its an easy bit of fabrication though

yeah i could probably knock up a bracket, only problem being the missus now has no right foot peg, and although she not on the bike too often i would still like to be able to take her out.

Could you space out the existing hanger to give a bit of clearance?

good idea, i probably could do that, the exhaust strap would be set of too the side and would prob look well funny but it would only be temporary, she dont go out with me to often so i could just put them on when needed, making a proper full time bracket at the min, see how it turns out, might look shit!

You'll have to wait a mo while the pics upload, but...

RSV swinger, Scorpion Ti can (for RSV) and with single-sided RSV hangers:

With custom hanger (no footpeg):

The latter is going spare if you want to buy it?

Yeah I recognised your username from "the other place" (well the slightly lengthened version of your username)

Yes, I bought a pair from vonDutch (Ron) back in 2009 - think he's a forum user here?

They just look like the usual RSV ones to me, I loosened off all the clamps and springs etc., jiggled everything around until it fitted and then tightened back up. The stock can was a little difficult, the Scorpion Ti was a breeze!
