Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I'm actually tempted to try it

how expensive do you reckon it woudl be to get someone to prep and paint it and fit it?

To match the Falco Fire red, my skidmarx one was around £125, Dream Machine quoted £250. Tried a couple of car sprayers who didn't have a clue about the colour and how to achieve it!!

I'd be happy to get one but i've just spent a shed load on mods and don't have the funds...will be monitoring throughout the year and if it's still around i'll be going for one...proberbly! But it will be for the 'new' colour scheme at the end of the year

I'm told this supplier does very good colour-matches

http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en/

Contacted them last year (just in case), & found them very helpful

Good link...let me know how you get on Herb, could do with some touch up paint so be good to know if it matches?

It's not just the paint, it's also how it's applied.
It consists of three parts, a base coat, which is grey or beige, a colour, and a lacquer.
The base coat is easy to apply, the depth of colour depends on how much colour is applied.
This is where the colour match is acheived.
The lacquer is only to protect the colour.
I had a fairing mid panel sprayed, by a guy who i'd worked with and now has his own spraying business.
I took the seat hump along for him to match the colour, and he made a top job of it.
If you find someone who will spray it, ask if he is ok applying this type of paint.
Most decent body shops should be able to do this as some car companies use the same type of paint.
Think it was rsbikepaint who supplied my paint, but I ended up with a goog match.

Hope all goes well.
