Question to the masses:

Whats the verdict on these things?

Put some in my tank this morning and I could swear if felt smoother already - is this likely or psychosomatic?

never used before on this or my previous bike but heard its worth putting in for a good engine clean up.

Have i wasted my money or are these things regarded as worthwhile ?

I'm a little wary of these products.. Some people swear by them and other additives, but I ask meself the question "does it really need it?".. The answers usually no and if ye did need to put extras in the oil or perform an engine flush, it would say so in the service guide.

I'd be more wary using this stuff as it may loosen off big chunks of sludge from the sludge trap. I'm not sure where the trap is on the Rotax lump, but they're usually located in or around the oil pump or through the crank journals.

Through the years of stripping down various engines I've not seen the benefit of using these products. IMO the companies that sell them do a good job to scare people into thinking their engine will explode with the power of a thousand suns, make planes fall out of the sky and just generally make you have a really bad day if you don't use them.
