Hello - prospective owner questions.

I'm looking at buying a Falco, preferably a bronze one. I've been reading through the forums and I've a few questions if you don't mind.
I'm 5'9" and fat. Will I be able to reach the bars and the floor?
Can the motors hit 40-50K on routine servicing?
Do the black frame ones come with an immobiliser or alarm as standard?
If it's a sunny Sunday bike will it need charging up before use?
Will it make me more attractive to girls?
Hows part supply? I have a selection of hammers and don't mind making things that nearly fit work.
Thanks in advance

With the fear of being shot down in flames?:smt074 Here goes

"Fat" is too subjective, one mans fat is another mans skinny.
My advice. Sit on one if you fall over you can't reach the floor.
Can the motors hit 40-50K on routine servicing?
Don't see why not, some on here have, mines at 26k (though it is the faster red one)
here we go again!!!!!
Do the black frame ones come with an immobiliser or alarm as standard? Don't know sorry

.
If it's a sunny Sunday bike will it need charging up before use?
It is best to keep on a trickle charger IMHO so as you ain't disappointed.
Will it make me more attractive to girls?
Obviously

A quick trawl on e-bay will give you a good handle on this, there has been a lot of parts over the last 6 months, as for making things fit, have you met Nooj???
Hope this is of some help.

It won't really, but you will feel sooo much better about yourself and have a glint in your eye that it will seem you are Gods gift

Best colour, good choice!
I'm 5'9" and fat. Will I be able to reach the bars and the floor? Probably
Can the motors hit 40-50K on routine servicing? Easilly
Do the black frame ones come with an immobiliser or alarm as standard? No
If it's a sunny Sunday bike will it need charging up before use? Won't hurt it if you do, best to be prepared an' all that.
Will it make me more attractive to girls? Undoubtably, far fewer run away screaming when I'm on the bike than when I'm off it.
Hows part supply? I have a selection of hammers and don't mind making things that nearly fit work. You'll need molegrips and a hacksaw as well, specialist machines, these!
Thanks in advance
Invoice is in the post

I hope so, mine's got 43K miles on it.
Had a hiccup or two but most of that was my fault

Bit of a late reply, but I'm, old, fat and 5'9" and have a 29" inside leg.
Falco fits me perfectly.
But I suppose I will need to own mine for a little longer before I'm fully sure.
Only had it for 6 1/2 years and 25k miles, and expect to ride it for a lot longer, before I'm fully convinced.
Oh, and finally, can I just add that over that period it has only had two very minor faults and been the most reliable bike I have ever owned in more than 40 years and dozens of bikes.
Parts supply can be a problem, from what other people say, but having needed so few, I ain't had a problem.

Thanks Howard. I'm about the same general shape. I've had a sit on one and it's a pretty good fit. I might eventually alter the riding position, time will tell.
I know what you mean about long term ownership. Took me 14 years to decide I really didn't like my Guzzi. I'm pretty sure I don't like my little Kwak, another five years and I should know one way or another.
