I need to get a new rear tyre and my usual fitter says I can probably get one cheaper from the interweb than he can from his supplier. Any suggestions on a good reliable, quick delivery, low cost source of Bridgestone tyres? For the moment I can't think which tyre I have on the rear (BT020 maybe???)

Gone right off Bridgestones after the 21 f**k up although the 23 seems to be better.

Depends on what your after (miles/grip) but I must say, I'm deeply impressed with the Pirelli Angels I've got fitted to me Falco and Fazer. Already put 4000 miles on the Fazer and 3000 on the Falco and they still look like new and yes, they grip, even on the shit covered minus temp roads we have at the moment

If they've still got any anywhere I'd go for Pirelli Diablo Strada's. Got a set off M and P and love them.

Avon viper sports ...............................get'em on !!!!!

I've used Avon's for years on other bikes and find them to be about the best. When it's time for tyre change on the Falco, i'll give them a try.

I think you've confused your rs with something else

Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's are excellent... great in all conditions... very sticky as well when you get some temperature into them... mine has done nearly 4k now and rear is starting to look a little worn... i reckon another 2k from them and it'll be change time.

On the Falco I started with Satan's own Metzler MEZ3 original fit rubbish - which, fortunately, wore out very quickly.

I then went to Pirelli Diablo Strada - very good - great life, nice handling.

Next came the Pirelli Diablo Rosso - they were even more fantastic from a handling point of view - but obviously not quite up to the Stradas in terms of wear rates - but still pretty good.

I've just bought a pair of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa as I've heard that they last at least as well as the standard Rossos but grip like a sheet to a blanket (or something). They are sitting, waiting on my new rims - ready to go in when we get back to roads that allow some decent lean-angles.

As you can see, I trust Pirelli - other tyres may be fine but when it comes to shelling out for a set of tyres I'll stick with what I know works for me.
I bet most of us do this.

i cannot fault my road attacks - and a set of the new conti road attack 2's are going on soon - these are the dual compound tyres btw - that is why they changed the name slightly
(If conti had not of released this tyre i was going to try the dunlop road smarts)

Not sure why, but i have a feeling that several folk have been under impressed with bridgestones on the falco

The 20's were fantastic tyres and I wouldn't put anything else on my bikes (or hers) but then came the 21's - rear tyre no problems, front was a heap of shit. Didn't last with a weird wear pattern (Falco, SV1000 and Fazer), took an age to warm up and wet weather grip didn't inspire any confidence.

Although Bridgstone's wouldn't admit there was an issue, the 21's only lasted 2 years before the 23 came out - the 20's had a 7 year run so draw your own conclusions

Having got on extremely well with Mez6 in the past, I'd be very interested to try the new Mez8.

Been very impressed with Michelin PR2. Similar handling to Avon Storm, but a little better; more durable, & much better in the wet.

And anything's better then MEZ4s

Tell you another good Avon and that's the ST ...SPORTS TOURER......Very good set of tyres and handle well giving good grip all round , use to have a set on the GSXR thou and they never let me down and good for wear as well .......
