Seems pretty good value to me. So good in fact that I've ordered one.

Yep. Got one from those guys for my K12 a few weeks ago. Very good price. So good that I did consider buying one now for when the Falco needs one.

Activation kit?
I assume it's not a gel filled battery so will require filling with acid, etc before use.. which will be included?

FILLING INSTRUCTIONS :
1. Put the battery on to a flat, solid base and remove the foil strip from the battery.
2. Take the acid pack out of the box and the remove the plastic wrap.
3. Remove the Black sealing strip from the top of the Acid Pack and keep it to one side for use later on.
DO NOT REMOVE THE FOIL FROM THE ACID PACK
4. Press the Acid pack upside down on to the battery cell openings firmly and as far as it will go, the acid will be automaticly disperced to the correct level for each cell.
LEAVE THE BATTERY FOR A 30 MIN PERIOD
5. Remove the Empty Acid Pack and place the black sealer stip over the battery cells, press the black sealer strip down fully, once the battery is Sealed, it will not need to be opened again, doing to so will void any warranty.
6. Once the battery is filled and sealed it will need to be charged on a motorcycle battery charger or trickle charger to complete the activation process.
CHARGE ONCE FILLED TO COMPLETE THE ACTIVATION PROCESS

YTZ 14S has higher CCA - 230 ; YTX 14BS is 200, tho' it has a higher Ah rating

Very nice bloke, paypal balls up the payment and he's sent it even though I haven't repaid yet (waiting for paypal to refund me)
I took my old battery off and it was a YTX12-BS, no wonder it always seemed a bit pony.

Hmmm - so if not activated it should keep ..... at that price it's probably worth getting one to keep on the shelf until it's needed.

It's a bit shorter than the YTX14-BS so you need to put a block under it to raise it up, but other than that it's the same size.
I got it because it has a higher cranking current so it turns the big pistons over easier. I'm not sure whether it's better to have more storage (12ah instead of 11.2ah) or a higher starting current (230 instead of 200), but for me either one will be better than the YTX12-BS that was in there which has 10ah storage and 180 cranking current.

If you want the higher cranking current but not the higher price then you could use one like the CTZ14-S (the first letter is only the manufacturer name)

I went for the one from e-bay because I've used Yuasa and numax in the past and have had no problems, I would rather spend the extra £15 and have a name I know (but that's personal choice)

Fitted the battery at last, she burst into life within about 1/2 second of pressing go. Not bad as the bike's been sat all winter in the garage homing a mouse.
Yes, a mouse has been living under the back seat of my Falco, it would appear the little b*stard has been going into my fishing bait bag, nicking dog biscuits then storing them under the back seat of the bird. I gave it a good hard thrashing just in case it was still 'home'.
I think it's time to put the fishing gear in a big metal box, it would appear a big concrete box isn't enough to stop a mouse.

Maybe you should keep a carp under the seat. It would eat the biscuits the mouse brings in, thus pissing the mouse off so it goes somewhere else.
