New battery ...

... Holding up well. 400 miles in the freeze - garaged o/nights but no battery tender/optimiser. Spends 10-13 hrs a day in the cold, with a 5 mile commute either end. Covered in snow today, Was still cranking strongly, and the flooding cleared with a couple of shotgun-blast backfires, but wouldn't catch, so I boosted it rather than risking running it down further. Hope this was the right thing.
