First ride

Well, finally after a couple of months of trying to get lessons and test, I have managed to get my licence. Got the Falco out this afternoon for it's first run up to Bracknell for a service, and couldn't believe how comfortable it was compared to the 500 I've been using. It just seems to flow into roundabouts and corners with no effort, with an absolutely awesome soundtrack to go with it. Only took it for a short ride, but once the servicing is done, then it's time to hit the road and get some experience Still hating the rearmost crash bungs though, going to have to get used to shifting my leg out when I stop.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Take your time - there is a lot of power there...
And try putting your feet straight down from the pegs - should not foul the crash bungs then

Think I will have to try that, will just take a bit of getting used to. There is ALOT of power there, but I have a totally standard tune at the moment, and am just taking my time getting used to everything. Those words learn to walk before you run apply in this case.
I haven't had such a grin since drifitng a Warrior.

Giggle? You must be a thrill seeker!
Had a couple of brown pants moment with shoelaces caught up in the pegs coasting up to traffic lights when I've not bothered putting on me proper boots to go out for a short spin on the bike... Panic stations!

Me too .... and when I have had my boots on, I've been known to get the tops of them caught on the hero-blobs when lifting my feet off the ground ....

Whos servicing it for you? I'm in Farnborough and really should get someone to check the valve clearances.

Well, the first ride to the garage turned up a bit of a surprise. Once the air box had been removed so they could get to the engine, the mechanic found that the front injector had totally failed!
Hopefully they have managed to get another one so I can pick the beast up tomorrow. Just goes to show that no matter what someone says when buying second hand, getting it serviced just after is definitely worth it. A V1 Falco just wouldn't be right.

I'm guessing tri counties.
Where have you two been hiding? I'm based just outside Wokingham

The one and only, as it is only 15 minutes away from me.
