New Seat on the old girl

OK, no pics yet, but sent the seat away to have it re-stuffed & covered.
Had 1" extra padding added & re-covered in black suede type material on the top, red own the sides (on a red bike).
Have to say it is now way more comfortable, have been out for over 2 hours without any pain in the arse (except the pillion).
Am very pleased, if anyone wants any work doing, suggest you look-up
bootleg bike seats in Preston.
Only a little old shop down a sideroad, but very nice freindly people to deal with, seem to have done an excellent job at a competative price.
Hope to post pics soon.

PIC'S PIC'S PIC'S!!!!!!

I've been thinking for a while about doing the same with a suede finish. How much did it all cost?

Cheers

Never had a problem with seat comfort.

I think the Falco puts most of my weight on the wrists, and that's less of a problem the more I use the bike.

Don't know how to make picies work on here, but hope this link should take you to the AF1 site where they can be viewed.

OK, seems to work, hope that helps.
In terms of price, seems very good to me Circa £50+ depending what you want done.
They can sew in detail like anyone else, was doing some with the 'Motorhead' logo on while I was there.
Give 'em a call what have you got to loose.

Ooooh that's a bit flash, wonder if they do black ones with colour keyed black sides to fit a black Falco.
I would certainly be interested at that sort of price, (have you looked at the price of a Sargent seat?), but have to say I have never found the early Falco seat too bad. Feels hard and not very well padded when you first sit on it but then seems to get better.
My old CBR1000F was the oposite, felt like an armchair when you first sat on it then seemed to get a bit worse on 200 mile plus trips.

Thanks Old Git, called in and picked mine up yesterday, they used a treated suede so there's a tad more grip than original and the new foam seems better. Kept mine all black, the stitching/panels were slightly different to yours but excellent quality and looks

Recomended! :smt023
