Simple - they reckon X Ring chains are best, if you can't afford one don't buy an O Ring, use a standard one and oil it every two weeks.
If you can afford it, they reckon the best value X Ring you can get is the RK XSO "O" ring.
The RK XW X Ring is better but does not justify the extra cost.
So they seem to reckon the RK XSO is the best chain you can buy.
Are they right?
I've recently gone off DID after many years, so might just give them a try next time I need one.

i wont use did , againg , but now confused what else to use on saying that i dont know whats on my falco ,but if its done 22000 miles from new its still looking good and iv had it since 13k

Got bored half way down. Reads like typical American "conspiracy theory" to me. The motorcycle manufacturers are out to get you..lol.. Don't buy genuine chain.. it's the devils making.. haha.. load of balls.

Personally, I've never had a problem with a good standard, non-sealed chain. Like it says, lube regular and it'll last just as long. The 'O' ring and 'X' ring chains have come about through convenience IMO. People don't want to spend a Saturday morning taking the chain off and boiling it up in a can of LinkLyfe.. They want to be out on their bikes. And who can blame um!

Standard chain and a Scottoiler. Or 'X' ring and regular lube. I like spray grease on my chains. Works well and costs half as much.

I recommend Renold chains.

As I may have mentioned before I use Renthal chains (and sprockets - just my personal choice and no technical basis to why), I got 11000 miles out of my 1st chain and it only failed due to an error on my behalf. I replaced like for like and now have 2000 miles this set of Chains & sprockets.

I read that "document" twice and decided to ignore it and keep doing what i've been doing as I suspect most people will.

I am gonna give that RK X ring XSO a try as it's around £60 Which is very good value compaired to a lot of chains on the Market
