Aprilia parts prices!! lol

OMG!
I've heard some of you mention Aprilia parts prices... but never quite appreciated it until now!
For example, sump plug around a quid... washer is £4!!
Hose clamps for clutch near reservoir, 87p each... the same ones for the front brake (also near reservoir) are £7!!!!
OMFG!!!

why do you think that we all actively take part in finding other sources for spares.....
currently I am using some perfectly acceptable jubilee clips for my reservoirs....

I only ever use genuine if there is absolutely no alternative.
A good quality ss jubilee clip is perfectly fine as is fitting Kawasaki (ZX10) or Yamaha (R1) reg/recs, getting your stator rewound etc etc.

Silly point but dont forget this is a copper washer we are talking about here.
Ever tried buying any copper tube recently.
Obviously Aprilia will add their normal mark up to it!

If I can't get it from a shop then I'll make it. If I haven't got the equipment to make it, then I'll source alternatives that'll do the job, or find something close and make it fit etc.. Like has been said, genuine dealer/manufacturer parts are the last of the last resorts.
