price for a USA side stand - second hand

What do you think would be a fair price for a USA side stand - second hand?

I think Bubsey's stand was about 50 quid, so I'd say 60-80 for the US.

Farkinell. Find a GSX-R stand and i'll modify it for £20. Sounds a lot, but there's a bit to do. I'll get a drawing done one day and post it up. If you'd like to know more, i'll post up the details of the mod (although it's bound to be on here somewhere).

The GSX stand is regarded by some as the better one to go for. More faffage, but better stand. :smt002
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

No - bubseywoo is easiest one to fit and source -50 quid makes it easy

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Modded GSX stand is no more difficult (or expensive) to fit than any other..lol.. Each to his own of course. :smt002

+1

.... and it's the best stand once the modification has been made to fit to the Falco (in my biassed opinion)

.... and, what's more, it doesn't have a silly telly-tubby type name .... Bubseywoo..... :smt009

I would concur with that. I used the K6-K7 stand, which is a cast piece rather than the tubular design used in earlier years. It was a bit of a faff to do, but well worth it. Looks like an OE part of the bike now.

I know for us RSV owners that a 2004 Fireblade stand bolts straight on, does the Falco not have the same stand as an RSV then ?

Yes, that's one of the many options

I might be wrong, but does it work with UK stand plates?

I must admit I have the Boobsee thingy one and I still think its shite.

Still have to find a decent slope to park her up. On my other bikes I very rarely thought about where I stood the bike. With this its a major thought everytime I park it.

That ain't right.

I would go for a modied one

I've just fitted the Firestorm one which if you use with existing plate bolts straight on with no problems and works with sidestand switch. I had to fit a screw under the stop plate so sidestand switch doesn't show when its in 'up' position. Bike much more secure. Thinking of getting the Falco one made into a paperweight just to remind me but then again probably not.

Once the GSX one has been modified, it's a straight swap. Same switch, same bolt and same spring. :smt002
