The List

When I bought my Falco from Gio, I didn't think there would be much to do as most of the mod's had been done. But after a while I started to look at ways of making the bike more mine.. This is where The List comes in.

First off was the suspension linkage. Running the ohlins shock and Falco linkages is supposed to be a bit of a no-no and could account for why I think she handles rather 'oddly'.. So Andy very kindly found a Millie set on eBay which I fitted this afternoon.. Not before having to nip in to work and turn up a couple of bobbins for the abba stand. Not had a chance to get out and test yet.. Hopefully tomorrow's weather will be good enough to keep the track dry for me to have a feel and a fettle.

Next is the rear number plate bolts/lights which Pete sold to me at Keiths meet up. They arrived in the post this morning, so will get those on ASAP along with the standard number plate ready for the Norfolk meet.

HID kit purchased from Tommy is still to be fitted.

Bought a HEOOGE givi top box off the old man and plan to make a rack to support it. It came with the base plate, so shouldn't be too much of a bother to get it to fit right. Also have a damaged pillion seat courtesy of Keith for the D-Rider "seat box" special.

Wheels. Not being the worlds biggest fan of the blue wheels, and after seeing the Falco with the grey/bronze standard rear wheel of Andy's.. I've decided to change the colour. They're going to be satin black with gold rim which I think will blend in nicely with the black forks, swinger and various gold bits and bobs around the bike.

So. Watch this space I suppose, as things get done one by one. :smt003

..... just waiting to find a good deal on some tyres before I fit the carbon rims - though may wait to the spring for that now.

DRider, What rack is that you have fitted? I presume it's the now defunct Givi. I'm considering the Hepco & Becker although I understand it won't accept my Givi topbox. I was considering a topbox mounting like yours but can't find an old pillion seat to butcher!

'Bling' Number plate lights are on. Decided to keep the smaller plate in place, but will make provision with the top-box to put the larger one on when on runs to places where the local plod are blind nit-pickers. :smt003

Also fitted the extension lead for the Optimate and had a look at fitting the HID kit. Decided to leave that for now as i'd rather be out riding while the weathers 'alright'.

Had the tyre done yesterday, so will swap the wheel out later in the week. Tomorrow (after hours) I will mostly be making a rack to fit me Givi top box, spacers for the pillion pegs and adapting the rear seat to accept a scooter box. :smt004
