Bulldog Bash - RWYB / Dyno weekend!

#1 Post by hornetrider » Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:23 am

Right then - this weekend I'm heading to the Bulldog Bash. I haven't been for a couple of years due to last years Europe trip and the weather, but its set fair this weekend so this will be my first time on the Falco. Anyone else going?

I'm really interested to see what times I can get for the standing quarter - anyone done this before on their Falco? I had trouble keeping the front end down on my Hornet, lawd knows what the Falco will be like!!

Also I'll be sticking her on the dyno to see what the power curve looks like since I've installed Gabro's finest... watch this space!

Enjoy, and be careful on the strip.

I was there the year Eddie Kidd did himself a mischief, apart from Eddies mishap it was an awesome gig, deffo recommend it.

I've taken the Falco up there a few times, was getting 10.something, mid to high tens anyway should be achievable after a few runs when you've got the hang of it. I found my time printouts a while ago but can't remember where I put them now.

Both times I went on the dyno up there it came out at 107bhp, once with a K&N filter, Wolf cans and a PCIII, once with Renegade big bore full system, airkit and chip. The Renegade bits have had a huge effect on the midrange, but have done nothing to the top end (which he did say was quite lean). I digress, don't bother with the numbers, the fuel line at the bottom of the page is the bit you want to look at.

Cheers nooj. I'll post up the stuff when I get back! I used to get beat on the Hornet by a guy on a 600RR but I reckon the old girl will be in with a sniff this year.

Balls. Shite weekend. Rained the whole time = no track time. Field was so muddy I didn't even bother trying to drag the bike to the dyno. Will have to do this another day.

Last one I went to was like that, slept through the Saturday night as it was hammering down with rain so hard we didn't want to venture out.
