Just back from a near perfect trip to Ireland(Letterkenny) for a wedding. Great couple of days only spoiled by yesterdays trip along the tarmac. Falco had performed faultlessy up til then, fully laden with panniers, tank bag and pillion. Decided to have a look at the newly wed couples newly built house, very impressive too, and tottered up the country lane. on rounding a corner, couldn't have been doing more than 15 miles an hour, I felt the front end go so corrected it only to feel the rear go the same way. Almost immediately the front goes again but
the opposite way and in slow motion we all go down in a low side and slide along the slurry/diesel/wet road. Picked ourselves up and inspected the damage. Good lady had cut her hand and bike had scars down the right side, rear brake lever bent, and right front indicator smashed. Both covered in crud from the road down the right side. Got the bike up and it started first time, managed to get home via the ferry with no further mishaps. p.s. if anyone has a spare rear brake pedal can I have first dibs?

Oh dear. Glad you both escaped reasonably unscathed. Good luck with the repairs

:smt012 Not good, but glad youre both relatively ok. Hope you find the bits you need cheaply.

Expensive way to check the sensor though!!

Slurry and diesel? Who dumped that, the local farmer? Can you claim off their insurance for it over there like you can over here?

Yes in hindsight shoulld have enquired as to who was responsible but, and those who have suffered an off will no doubt concur, at the time my only concern was that my good lady was ok and that the bike wasn't too badly damaged so i could get back to the ferry and up the road(no I'm not saying what order my concerns were in!!!. Still have plenty if evidence of the slurry and diesel, still cant get it off my leathers :smt009
