for my upcoming trip, i plan to take some spare levers

I'm looking for the cheapest solution that will fit on for certain. I don't intend to actually use them, but after being stranded before without a brake lever after a minor spill I vowed to always carry them

theres loads on ebay, or if any of you lot have upgraded to some fancy pants ones and have your old ones knocking around I would be happy to buy them off you :smt001

Take care of ones on ebay .... some of them have been known to stick and jam the brakes on - searches on here and AF1 will confirm.

Trouble is, I can't tell you which ones are the risky ones.

That's a spare I have never even thought of before for a trip, but I can see the sense in it. Do the standard levers not have breakaway ends? I'll need to look at mine.

yes they do, but they can still break up at the pivot point as i found out. if anyone is interested there is titax/pazzo replica's made in hong kong avaliable on ebay for reasonable money. i've ordered a set of stumpies. i know alot of guys that have bought them for some jap crap and the quality is as good believe it or not!!
