Carbon Can Company
...anybody had any dealings with them?
Having seen a nice set on AF1 i ordered some, their website is useless but still went ahead and ordered, have phoned 3 times and been given 3 delivery dates, starting to to worry a bit now (should have gone with Blue Flame!!)
I guess i should have asked first but that's me...straight in there!!!

I had some contact with them awhile ago regarding some XT660X cans.
I must say that I do rate their cans, I had a set of stainless ovals on the XT, and they were nice and the build quality was good. I however found service poor. I could very seldom get through and when I did they seemed in a rush to get me off the phone.
The XT660 forum had many posts regarding their poor service and slow delivery. But, they also had many posts praising the quality and sound of the can and the price.

Forgot to mention this tip...
If the design of the can has not changed since I had mine (about 2 years ago) the removable baffle will be riveted. If you intend to keep the baffles in (don't!
) replace the rivets with small (M4) nut and bolts. There have been reports of the rivet failing with the vibration and the baffle coming loose.

I have carbon can co cans on my Falco. They do not have the removable baffles and are marked race use only or not for road use. The reason for this si that they are offensively loud. I set off car alarms with them, by mistake, of course. Mine were fitted when I bought the bike and I take them off, put them back on, take them off again. It depends on how much I like/get sick of the noise. They are on for TT but will probably come off again soon after.
Mine are gettting on a bit now, but the quality seems OK.

I bought a set on ebay years ago and thy're good cans.
I had to repack them a while back as the carbon had a tiny patch of yellowing, the packing had burned away in that area.
Only dealing I had was to get a chip to match the cans. Easy to deal with and quick service.
I'd suspect with exhausts they make them to order and it takes them a while.

In fairness, You will find some of the smaller firms will not hold stock on the shelves and will make to order.
This inherently takes longer and dependant on the company and how they do things, and the orders they have on the books for completion, could take 2 weeks or even more, although an expected delivery date would be good for the customer.
Increasingly we live in a computer driven world. emails are sent straight away, food can be ordered next day, chains can come overnight, even goods can come from America in under a week.. ebay is a twat for it as people expect things NOW!!
Not saying you're wrong to want it within a few days or a week, etc however exhausts for motorcycles are a bit more specialist.. but if CCC are as small as I imagine, maybe theyre going as fast as they can... no pun intended...

I bought a set from Beowulf last May for my Falco, and decided to get them at the factory as I was in the area. They only had one on the shelf in the finish I wanted, so made the other up while I had a cuppa. Top service! In fairness, You will find some of the smaller firms will not hold stock on the shelves and will make to order.

1st Italian bike. 1st V-twin, loving it!

I bought my titanium cans from their stall at the NEC show some years ago. After I'd paid for them at a very good discounted price, (1/2 of what the Blue Flame stand had quoted the same day), I asked could I leave them there whilst I carried on looking round the show and come back nearer closing time for them.
Their reply was that if I didn't want to bother carrying them around, one of their people would be going back home to their place in West Yorks that night and he could drop them off at my place (a few miles of M1 J31 in South Yorks), on his way home. I ended up taking them with me at the close of the show! But how many suppliers would do that.
As I said, great people!

Just for the record, you have to ring up and talk to someone, you can't order online (like Blue Flames/Fuel) the guy was very helpful and said the item was instock and would be sent next day 24hr delivery...that was over two weeks ago, 3 telephone calls, 4 failed delivery dates and 5 emails ago!
I'm all for supporting small British businesses but this is taking the p**s, they have never heard of 'customer services'!!...the saga continues....

Yep - I think I can agree that is poor.
OK so they may have made a mistake and there not been some in stock but the least they could do is tell you and let you know how long it would take to get them to you.
