OK seeing a Falco is not that rare - I see one every day and sometimes I see a few of them.
However just seeing one that you don't know out and about is pretty rare.
Well, tonight, coming home from work, I spotted a Fire Red one travelling the other way about a mile from home .... by the time I'd realised what it was it was almost level with me .... just as well I'd already given a nod!
I think the only other time I spotted one unexpectedly was a few years ago when I saw a Crow Black one outside the local B&Q - chatted to the owner on that occasion.

I've only ever spotted 3, and on 2 of the occasions I detoured to take a closer look - what a saddo

On one occasion I had to tell the family I was out walking with that I needed to take a leak and I 'd catch them up.
Bronze it was too (the Falco not.............). I'll get me coat.

I've only ever spotted one on the road. Used to filter past me when I was travelling to work a few years ago. It was a Y plate in silver. They are a rare beast. Just back from the Northwest 200(well a week ago) and saw all manner of bikes some RSV's and Tuonos but no Falco's.

I'm still yet to see one around Liverpool. Spotted one maroon colour falco at Le Mans on a french plate and that was after watching hundreds of bikes go past the bugatti bar

excellent, I'll have a pint of Guinness then.
If you didn't understand, try saying it in a Scottish accent.
Soz, hat, coat, door.

There are at least 2 around this neck of the woods - plus mine of course - a red one and a silver one. Both pretty much standard the last time I saw them.
Never had a chance to speak to the owners though. They've been travelling down the A556 at speed in the opposite direction to me.
Which makes me feel popular.

Not only do i think i'd seen the same bike at Le Mans Loopie but we were both camping at the same camping grounds .............Two Falcos in the same place for the whole weekend ......i had a look over it and it was pretty much standard ....even had the bloody baffles in on the exhaust and like you said it was a French plate ............
Nightmare trip really .........and i will make it short
Late leaving .....always a good start .........mate said Ferry ( poole - st Malo ) was 14:20 but indeed was 13:40 ...............realised a bit late so started to " move on " shall we say only then to be nicked for speeding 10 miles outside Poole just after 13:00 hrs ...........106 MPH for both me and my mate on his RSVR ...now i'm not complaining as the officer let us both go with just a £60 fine and three points on my clean ( for the last five years anyway ) licence .......he could of band us both but instead decided to talk for about 20 mins ........needless to say we missed the ferry ......... BUGGER !!!
Went into office to see when next one was and was told if we hurried ( !!! ) we could make the Portsmouth one for 15:30 ( it was now about 14:00 ) so off we shot only to get to Portsmouth in time to see them shutting the gates and saying no room left .........Double BUGGER !!! .....Ended up having to pay an extra £105 to get the over niight to St Malo and not getting there till midday saturday .......and no cabins so slept on the floor under the tables with my jacket as a cover ............and f##king school kids running round everywhere ........it's at this point that i start thinking i'm way to old for this now !!
Anyway had a really good time from then on although sleeping wasn't happening as the French like to rev the crap out of their bikes ALL NIGHT !!! Sounds great but at four in the morning not much fun ......
Watched the race on Sunday then headed to St Malo .........we had been told NOT to speed as the police are very HOT on speeding so travelled from Le Mans to just outside St Malo ( and i mean just out side by maybe about three mile ) and i got 170 miles out of the tank ( had done some miles riding around the track area as i' not to sureof overall distance from Le Mans to St Malo ) but was running on vapour for sure ...........140 kmh top speed ( well maybe ) so was very impressed with that ..........
That weather in St Malo was so hot that the tarmac was melting down by the port so we stopped and had a beer before travelling home ......just the one i may add !! Landed in Poole at about 00:30 and had a good blast straight home to gods country ( cornwall penzance ) but not untill after i hit some sort of beast ( fox or badger ) sitting in the middle of the road just as i was over taking a bloody lorry ..........needless to say the underpants needed changing when i got back home ........very lucky and almost had my mate off as well.....
Got back home at just gone 3 in the morning then was woken by my little darlings ( two girls 4 and 7 ) just after 7 in the morning ........had about five hours at home then jumped in a hire car drove to Bristol caught a flight to Paris to catch another one to Brazil where i have now just caught a chopper and am now typing this up sitting at my desk on the boat i will be stuck on for the next 4 to 6 weeks ..........Le Mans seems so so far away now .........Plus my bike is sitting in the garage covered in dead flies and blood and dust and will be staying like that until i get back ......i did ask my good lady if she wanted to clean it but i think you can all guess the reply !!! Managed to oil the chain so hopefully it'll last alright till i get back .........Funny weekeend but a bloody good laugh

sounds like you had a blast and its always better when the unexpected happens, plus you and the bike made it back, which really all that matters
had the same "to old for this" feeling myself on the way home, but reading about your trip and picking my scabs while sitting at my desk I would go back like a shot, bar a little less booze and some sun-cream

I see about 4 round this area, but its like you say never realise what it is till pass real close. Or I see them when in the car and dont think they would notice the biker nod.
