Clutch fluid level

Aye up all

Haven't been round a lot recently... I've been lurking in the background (what with finishing moving house and leaving my current job!) and have just returned from a three day Wales tour on the Falco and loved every minute. I have a quickie re: clutch fluid level though.

I noticed from photos at the beginning and end of the trip (maybe 600 miles) that the clutch level has dropped from halfway between min and max to the min level... there are no obvious leaks (at least not at the reservoir end) and I haven't had chance to check the other end yet but will later this week...

...surely there must be a leak, right? Any known issues/leaky areas with these bad boys?!

Cheers,
R.

Almost certainly the slave seal is weeping - not far from the front sprocket and extra goo round there usually goes unnoticed.

Solutions are to upgrade the slave with an MPL, Oberon or Evo slave or to replace the seal.
Genuine Aprilia ones cost a mint but Chabby sourced a compatible one for a couple of quid.

When you come to bleed the clutch, look for the guide in the Aprilia Technical section.

Ahh the slave seal... ok... cheers matey.

I don't find the clutch particularly heavy so will probably just get a new seal and replace it over the winter :smt003

Thanks for links :)
