.... and not deliberately ....

First thing this morning I backed the bike out of the garage, shut the door, fired it up and prepared for my usual 3-point turn before heading off to work.

The manoeuvre starts off with a reverse, followed by pulling forward turning to the right.
Today it seemed to be making hard work of the pulling forward part ... it was then that I realised that I'd hitched up the wheelie bin on the reverse ... the Givi rack has a sort of a hook to which a top box can attach ... and it seems that this is just the right height to fit under the lip of a wheelie bin.

Unhitched the bin and I was away .....

At the end of the working day I rode home.
Now I should explain that my youngest son is a brickie and is building me a new wall while he is laid off from work (and a nice job he's making of it).
Well it's a bit of a slalom avoiding piles of bricks and big bags of sand on the drive but usually is without incident.
Tonight, however, I managed to snag one of the lifting loops of a 1 ton bag of sand (nothing like a ton in it any more) on the swingarm bobbin and dragged that along a little way - fortunately, although it tried, it failed to have me off the bike.

Unhitched that one too.

Any more of this and I'll join the caravan and trailer club .......

Superb! I laughed like a drain from the moment I read the title. Another Fast Show fan! So all that torque could be a problem. A wimpy IL4 would just have stalled on you! Mind you, a 50mm towball would fit nicely below the number plate. :smt005

I used to have one of these (Panther M100 with a bigger chair) that had a towball on the chair chasis.

Apparently it wasn't uncommon for these beasts to lug great loads. An awesome beast. Used the engine as a stressed member, way ahead of its times.

Panther used to have an advertising trick where the used a panther combo to pull a barge, think it might even have been a Thames barge, :smt017 .

As for Andy...........
The next time the Coventry Council go out to tender for the refuse collection, you need to apply explaining that you can move the bins much quicker than the current lot!
:smt005
Keep up the good work, councils all need help saving money at the moment!
