Removing rear fairing

Ok... as per title... have been fettling around at the rear of the bike with tail tidy, testing the diode module, and generally having a good clean... but I was too much of a wimp to remove the rear fairing completely, but simply just removed all fixings and moved the fairing around so I could gain access.
But whats the best way to get it off? Slide it towards the front, rear, lift one side followed by the other?
I just don't want to break it!

I guess you mean the red bit? When the Meta guy came to remove the alarm he just removed all the screws and kind of stretched it over and off

It's very flexible so don't worry (too much)

Yeah I thought that'd be the way... I'm always worried I'll break it though!
Maybe I'll pluck up enough courage later in the week

get workshop manual -
http://www.martinpoll.dk/div_april.htm
that tells you how to do it - basically flex it it apart - one side at a time

Yeah - the first time or two you remove/replace it is a bit worrying - but once you've got all the fixings out, firm treatment is the only way

Yeh, he always did like good firm treatment!
But only after the original fixings have been removed.
