Has anyone tried this, I've got a RSV swinger I'd like to get powder coated but first I need to get the bearings out. The needle bearing looks the most complicated, it's probably something I'll have to get done at a garage with my lack of tools and even greater lack of ability……. but I thought it was worth a shout out first.
Cheers

Pretty much have to destroy them to get them out (you wouldn't want to reuse them anyway) IIRC I took mie out with a long rod and drove them out from the other side. D-rider cut his out.
Try a search 'coz it's been covered at length and you'll find info on the bearings you'll need too.

Had a search and found Andy's post on the same issue, looks like some brut force is needed and some new bearings.

Hi all,
I bought a ryobi dremel set

Handy tool and some long punches out of machineMart, with the usual 4Ib hammer. I wouldn't trust a garage to do it, they are normally rough when it comes to things like this...
Controlled aggression is the key fella, after all you don't want to damage the housing do you. As for the bearing, new one's everytime, then off to powder coaters. Job done

I used the hammer and drift combo. Used length of M10 threaded bar, a couple of nuts, and a couple of steel to draw the new ones back in. Easy peasy

I gave it to an air blast company and they did for me for a few quid. They done it while I waited
Then went "Automotive Black" on the swingarm
Result was really smooth - now coved with mud shite and chain goop
Swingarm...
