Hi all,
We feel for you fella, but, we are all guilty of not doing what is best sometimes

A hard lesson too learn...
Hope not too much damage

Sorry you've had to find out the hard way - hope the damage isn't too bad and you get it fixed without much bother ....
.... and for anyone else that is new to the Falco game.
Modding Rules:
- Rule1: Change the side stand
Rule2: Change the shock
Rule3 to RuleN: Change whatever else you want to
There used to be another joint-equal Rule1 - change the MEZ3 OE fit tyres ... but there should be none of them left now ...

Damage, there lies another tale,my drive is 100ft long,99ft 8inches consist of soft grass banks the other 4 inches are a wooden post,So wre did the bike land

.The post dented and cracked nose fairing.Shiney new end cans were ok.Anyway one can up on ebay next day in Red (by far the best colour)so snapped that up and new middle fairing £200 quid. Can any body advise on fairing swop, anything to know or is it straightforward enough.

Taking the fairings off is relatively quick and easy - just make sure you undo all the bolts, note which go where and undo the connectors for indicators and headlamp.
Start from the bottom and work up - reverse for re-fitting.

Is it because I'm running the standard shock that I've NEVER had an issue with the sidestand

Doubt it - mine felt very precarious on the Aprilia stand with the standard shock.
Always had to find a piece of ground/road sloping the right way.

Mine too still has the standard shock,i was thinking it had something to do with fitting new venon cans 3 hours before it blow over, had something to do with it.But this my have more to do with sods law rather then any law of physics.

Is your bike an import? like a US version?

Nope - bog standard, first registered in Edinburgh.
I've never understood all the posts about the sidestand.
I've been on ferries several times and never had a problem
