Would 04 RSV Oil Tank fit?

I've been looking at replacing the falco tank with an RSV one and the 2004 tanks seem to be quite a bit cheaper, is this because they don't fit our birds?
To those who have done this mod, is it a tricky job to do (does it require any fettling) or is it a simple swap over?
Cheers

Are you doing the 2into1 exhaust mod?
If not I can't see any good reason to change the tank - unless the Falco one is damaged.
If you change to the Mille oil tank you also will have issues with the oil cooler - due to alignment with oil connectors.
By far the best solution is a Mille oil cooler but you can do a job re-routing the oil lines (I did that myself when I first swapped the oil tank and although I think I made quite a neat job of it, I was never that happy with it). It works until a Mille cooler comes along at the right price though.
So back to oil tanks
- .... I've a spare pre 04 mille tank (not the MilleR stainless one - that's on my bike)
.... I've also a couple of spare Falco ones
.... don't ask how I ended up with so many ....
If you want one then shouldn't be a problem - make me an offer

I'm not doing the 2-1 exhaust, it was the bling factor of the shinny SS RSV tank. Are they lighter than the falco units, one is on ebay advertised as 'lightweight RSV Oil Tank'

yes they are lighter
to properly fit i think you do want the mille r ones.... they will allow a skidmarx belly pan to fit following a small visit from mr dremel
i am of the opinion that they do reduce the oil capacity by about 300ml - just so as you know
they are an easy fit but you will need a length of oil pipe to go up and over to make it fit the falco oil cooler.... i am happy with mine
(Oh - do get some spare jubilee clips as well....)
