Just wanted to say Hello as a New Falco Owner

Just wanted to introduce myself as the proud owner of a 2005 Falco in Bronze/Black. It's a revelation after my previous bike - a Kawasaki Z750S. Mind you I had not ridden for 24 years so everything is relative. It's totally standard at present apart from a Carbon hugger. Must admit I would like to add a belly pan, can anyone guide me on this one. Also want to change the rear cans, nothing extreme just a more fruity sound. That's all for now, the sun is out and I feel an urge to go for a ride.

welcome

how much money do you have?

belly pan wise the easiest/cheapest option is skidmarkx - other expensive options include CF....

can wise - well, lots of choices out there - just look around. For simple noise and looks, the Fuel cans are the cheapest I think to buy new - after that, you can spend a lot of money.....

oh - MOST IMPORTANT THING

before you do anything else - please sort the side stand out....

Hi and welcome :smt006

Bellypans - the most popular is the Skidmarx:

Though some have the Pifkee:

if the img dosen't work here is the link

its the red and black one at the bottom,,,,,,btw ,,,,mine is the red one the fast falco colours

iv been told it grounds out on the left ,,,,on track days ,,,,,dont know if low you will be taking it :smt003

dont know if peter sill makes them do a search but i think they are rare to get second hand go strait on no cutting and fit in original screw holes and are made to high quality
And Nooj got a company to make some carbon ones based on the skidmarx design:
Nooj wrote:OK people, as seen on AF1... here they are, the numbers you've all been waiting for... I give you... THE PRICES!!!!!!!!!
We now have 2 wet layup belly pan fairings ready. Steve is keen to paint one in black as an alternative to carbon. The price of the wet layup fairings is £110.00 (unpainted), or £150.00 finished in black paint.

The pre-preg carbon cost will be £195.00

All prices include the metal brackets but exclude VAT.
VAT for the Euro-types is 17.5%, any non-EU folk won't have to pay this, but will be lumbered with a shipping cost of about three million GB pounds.

Right, I've done my bit. If you have any questions or want to place an order...

John at a-mel is now the dood to get in contact with.

john.bewley@a-mel.co.uk

Mention that you're from one of the Falco forums, you won't get a discount, but he'll know where his sales are coming from and it may entice him into generating some other carbon bits for us :D

Hi Claymore,

Sounds like you should be a bit further north with that tag.

Welcome. It's always nice to see a new member.

Most cans will come as a sonic shock, the stock ones are disgustingly quiet.

Thanks for the replies and kind words. I am one of the Essex MacDonalds, hence the name! Clearly I have some spending to do !! I noticed that some of these bikes came restricted. Before I take a peak, was it standard practice for a Uk bike to be restricted and then de-restricted as part of a dealer service? Thanks in advance.:smt001
