Brief Encounter in Kendal

So we set off for the lakes in the pouring rain - sun came out by the time we got to Hawes so after a good pub lunch the last 40 miles were quite pleasant.
Stopped for petrol in Kendal and just as I am climbing off the Falco another one pulls in from the opposite direction.
Flamingo red and black variety. Didn't catch his name but I'm sure he's one of our crowd (Reg number ****DZK). On his way from Scotland to Buxton for the weekend.
Sorry we didn't have more chance to chat but we were close to our destination and the girls were keen to get to the hotel after a wet and tiring ride.
Spooky how our east to west ride intersected with your north to south ride at exactly the same time. That's Falco magic I think.
