the guys who are aware of the tragic accident I was involved in, and my bike getting dropped by the Scottish police I thought I would give you a update.
Well my insurance company have paid for me to get another Falco as mine has been deemed uneconomical to repair,I cannot believe how quick they give up on our bikes,it only fell off the side stand.
RIP SID

Presumably you can buy it back for a nominal sum?

Ah, sorry - I've only just caught up with what happened - so sorry to hear about it and quite understand that you'd want to move on to another.

Well done mate - I was afraid that you might never get back on a bike again.
I've only been out twice since the accident and its not been that easy to concentrate. I've actually been using the brakes.
But I won't give up and I'm sure the confidence and fun will come back.
And I'd just like to congratulate you on the choice of colour too.
Take it easy, G.

The thought occurs to me that a perfectly good Falco is going to get cannibalised for spares here. A mate of mine is looking for an (ahem) inexpensive bike and as long as there's nothing major wrong with the bike, he'd probably be interested.

Do you have any idea what the insurers would want to get back on the bike mrapriliafalco? If you don't want to pursue it (given the history) I fully understand, of course.

Opportunity here too:

Glad to hear your ok and looking forward as Sid would have wanted

Yeah, I've gotta keep biking.......
You'll notice a big difference with the 15 tooth sprocket.
BTW, will you consider getting a stone guard for the oil cooler? Tho yer old one did run quite well with the copper pie bypass.

Where do you get a pie by-pass, I could do with one of those.
It'd make the bike perform better.

Oops, type-o!!! What happened was that when away on the weekend trip mrapriliafalco's bike got a holed oil cooler. We removed the cooler, joined the oil hoses with some microbore copper pipe and jubilee clips. Bike ran at mid 60s celcius for rest of trip. It was said to resemble a whisket still, but good bodge.
