Hello guys, need to order some of these, mine doesn't have any and I can't get her up steady using the platforms off my stand.
Can anyone confirm the thread size - I've seen plenty on evilbay which are 6mm thread.....
I want to order a.s.a.p. chain needs a clean, lube & adjust and the back wheel is dirty..!

I have heard it said many a time that one can use the bobbin shaped cargo strap mounts under the rear mudguard as swingarm bobbins. They may even have been designed as such. You could certainly try one and if it fits measure the thread.

Jayboy,
they are indeed 6mm thread. I got some off ebay for a nominal sum. As Fausto rightly explained the "cargo" mounts are dual purpose and serve as bobbins also so if they are still fitted to your machine you could use those. I kept mine in situ and bought some alloy bobbins. In fact I have some nylon ones you can have if you pay the postage. Black nylon ones though not shiney alloy I'm afraid. (PM me)
Blue.

Cheers, that's very kind mate, I'll pm you. Not worried about shiny, yet, I just want to raise the bugger and sort it out.

excellent, they're a perfect fit, will go for 2 sets though I think they're a bit corroded! Done the trick though, got it up and cleaned, pics in gallery...
