Mine are lacquered over too... a 2004 Flamingo Fast. Stupid question... the fact that they are lacquered doesn't that mean you only need to polish the top layer of lacquer to bring them back to life?

The only lacquered decals on my 2001 black are the Aprilia ones on the tank and that one that boasts about race wins on top of the tank. The rest just peeled off.

Only ones that are clearcoated on my (fastest) black one are the tank decals.

TN,
Strange, my silver falco's stickers weren't laquered on the fairings (small aprilia sticker on side of tank was). THey were very very sticky I admit but some patience with a hairdryer soon sorted it.
As for your ingrained shite, was the same with mine too. A lot of T-cut and if you have it, detailing clay, pulled the crap out then I used boat wax (father in law builds multi million pound boats so pinched it off him) to seal and it madea world of difference. Silver is very good at hiding the dirt and its not till you get it clean you realise how bad it was!
Paul.
