Thats it, I killed her. On the way to work last Friday morning, stopped at red light. Thought ' where is that screetch coming from', then BANG. I ended up 10 feet across the junction.Some half pissed twat rear ended me and nearly wrote both of us off. He failed roadside breath test but passed at the station by 1 point, so the rozzers did him for due care etc. I have spent 5 days in the a & e trauma ward at Frimley Park. Got 3 broken vertibrae to add to the 2 I damaged in 1991. How many good ones do I have left ? Bike it a deffo write off. The beautiful pipes Jorge built for me a month ago are smashed, rear Oz wheel bent, rsv swing arm bent, rear subframe and pillion foot hangers bent, rear bodywork smashed and all nearside fairing scratched. Bollox. If I can get it back then I will make any good parts available here. Anyone got any ideas. The recovery company say its best left with them till the insurance assessor sees it. Bit worried about the non standard parts on it tho (undeclared).

Are you sure the recovery company is not going to charge you storage fees?

Thank God you're (relatively) OK .... with the emphasis on the relatively.

Hope those broken bits heal up well and that the insurance is settled straightforwardly.
Always best to declare the mods ... but the third party should be picking up the tab - not your own insurance - so I can't see that should be an issue (but what do I know).

Happened at the Rackstraw lights in Sandhurst, heading away from Camberley. You may know it. It has a camera on it and I am never sure if its speed or lights that are monitored, so I dont overdo either. Car behing me would have hit the red, so he hasnt got a leg to stand on. I would like to get the bike back to my house anyway as I feel it will make it harder for the insurance co to resist a silly offer from me when this is settled. Then I can start to strip it and help you guys where possible (anyone want a bargain Oz wheel, front only !).

It's the fronts that fetch the most .... think they normally suffer more damage.

With the evidence you have provided 'The Rozzers' should have charged the t*sser with driving whilst unfit through drink which would, on conviction, have resulted in a disqualification.

For Careless driving he is unlikely to be disqualified unless he reaches twelve points on the totting up procedure.

I hope your insurance company fight your claim all the way.

Oh, and even if he passed the station evidential breath procedure by 'one point' he can still be dealt with for driving whilst unfit through drink provided 'The Rozzers' have not thrown the drink drive paperwork away.

You may wish to ask the Head of Roads Policing for Surrey Police to have a look at the evidence before he is due to be in court.

Don't write off the bike yet. Lately I have seen many of the parts you need on Ebay at very low prices.

How about a HE-YOOOOJ personal injury claim for all your broken bones/trauma/lost earnings etc. You can prosecute the tosser as well as the Police I believe.

... hope you (and maybe the Falco) are 'roadworthy' again soon. Awful thing to happen - sounds like an open and shut case and the beggar should get everything that's coming to him. Hang in there!

Damn, sounds like a nightmare.

Don't give up on the Falco too quickly though and deffo get it home asap the storage charges will be huge.
