looking at either 020's/021's whichever newer or michelin pilot road 2's

usually run the bridgies but have read the michies are good if not better.

anyone who has tried both can they give us a little feedback

Had 020's and no problems with them. Wifey has 021's on here VFR at the moment, the rears are ok but from what I can gather, avoid the front ones like the plague. Some people are reporting fronts wearing out quicker than rears because they scallop (sp) like mad on the sides.

I have Michelin PR2's on the Falco at the moment and think they're ace, if a bit more pricey than the competition. I have also heard good things about Dunlop Roadsmarts.

i've got pilot power 2ct's on and got loads of miles out of the rear, great grip as well dry or wet.

What kind of riding do you want to do?

For touring / commuting / odd thrash I have rated my conti road attacks very highly - 6 000 miles from the rear!

I will try Dunlop road smarts next though

Couldn't agree more...............Fantastic tyres and I've never got as many miles out of a rear. For the first time ever I'm sticking with the same tyres as they wear out

I have put 016s on and the bikes, on its side so quickly really like them
Funny thing happened today mind!!! Riding along and the tyre went totally flat checked it over and nothing pumped it back up and its fine very weird,can anyone come up with an explanation??????????

Without incriminating yourself ... were you going a bit quick ?

I have heard tales of dodgy valve cores and the effects of centrifugal force on them.

Not sure how convinced I am ..... but you never know .....

Pilot road 2ct or roadsmarts are going on the falco after the M1 sprortecs currently fitted. Ive got RP2CT`s on the CB1300 and they are brilliant, both wet and dry, and the mileage, 5K miles from the rear with still 3.5mm left and not squared off. M1 rear on the falco 3K and dead.

Was doing a very silly speed indeed on a public highroad(throw away the key job)

Plastic dust caps? If so, you may want to invest £3 in a pair of metal caps with integral rubber seals. Much more trustworthy that the springs in the valve cores!

More likely that the bead seal broke letting the air out and then sealed itself again.
When you pumped it back up the seal was OK.
