Another dumb question about mirrors...

Hey all,
I like the idea of having indicators in the mirrors, so all those dozy car drivers have more chance of seeing me. But I'm reluctant to shell out US$100 for the RSVR -> Falco adapter blocks being made by that fellow over on "The other forum".
Which brings me to the obvious question:
The new Suzuki GSX-R models have mirrors with inbuilt indicators. Has anyone tried to fit them to a Falco?
Cheers,
V

Nope - but that's been my plan for a while now .... what's more you can get pattern ones on ebay at a very nice price.
When I saw how much the RSVR mirrors were fetching and heard that you can see even less behind with them than the standard Falco mirrors I looked around and decided that the Gixer ones would be a good way to go ....
that's assuming I do retain my mirrors ......
Once you've sorted out all the pitfalls, please post up your experience ans save me the hassle when I get round to it.

Yeah, I saw a set in plain black for AU$100, and "carbon fibre" ones for not much more.
Certainly a lot more tempting than paying AU$200 (or whatever it is) for one!

Supposedly the AF1 shop has "stock" Falco mirrors with longer stems on them. I don't have the URL handy, unfortunately.

You have to be kidding. I don't have a garage to work in, my tools are all packed away in boxes and I don't have time to even ride the bike, let alone modify it.
However, I do have a friend who has access to a machine shop (or at least I think he does!) so I might just take the plunge and see what I can do. Don't hold your breath, though.

I bought some of these cheap GSXR mirrors but I found the mounting angle completely different to the Falco's - it put the mirror at a ridiculous angle. I messed about with trying to make them work but I was not able to. I have no doubt the more talented modders on here could make it work though.
